My name is Wolfgang Sigl.

Seisui Shin is the name given to me when I was ordained as a Zen Buddhist. Seisui means “Clear Water”, Shin means “Heart”.

Professionally, I lead a sales team of an IT company (Advanced Unibyte) and I am also managing partner of a trading company where I work daily to prove that ethical behavior and economic success do not have to contradict each other.

My passion for photography began at the age of 6, where I developed my first pictures from an Agfa box in soap dishes with the help of my big brother. Since then, the enthusiasm for photography has never left me. I have owned many cameras in my life: from 35mm to medium format to a Linhof Technika 4×5 large format camera. My pictures used to be exclusively black and white or more precisely monochrome and developed in my own darkroom. With the advent of digital photography, I parted with a heavy heart from the darkroom and analog photography at some point and went digital. A little bit I always regretted this, so also an analog Leica M4P can be found in my photo bag.  I develop and digitize at least the negatives mostly myself. Digitally I work with a Leica Q2 Monochrome an a Leica SL2

For me, analog or digital is not a question of faith, but rather a question of what I feel like doing.
